SEAN FITZGERALD
In his own words -

“I spent the first 25 years of my life without ever owning a camera. For that matter, I never did much of anything remotely artistic, (unless you count refurbishing my 1966 Mustang after I accidentally burned it up).
“I went to Texas A&M, to law school at UH, got a great job at a big Dallas law firm, practiced trial law, worked on some big cases and helped “the man” save some money. Not real fulfilling for me as a naive, young, idealistic tree hugger. And good god, I was bored.
“Well, maybe bored isn’t the word. It’s just that
after law school I bought a camera and started to take pictures. The right side of my brain started to wake up, I suppose, because I was hooked. I eventually decided to quit practicing law and photograph full time. My wife, Karen, is extremely supportive of my photography and my biggest believer, so that sure helps. She should have thrown me out a long time ago.
“Anyway, now I take pictures full time. I do fine art photography, selling to individual and corporate collectors, interior designers, commercial art buyers, etc. I shoot some for magazines, calendars and such, I teach photography and Photoshop. I sell stock photos. I shoot for commercial clients.
“I love images that are simple, graphic, evocative, surreal. I love color. I love images that suggest the essence of the subject, as well as images that evoke different reactions from different people, both positive and negative. While my photographic subjects are widely varied, I find myself repeatedly drawn to nature and wildlife and the impact of man on both

TAPC members, if you’ve read any Texas Highways recently you’ve seen Sean’s work and not only there but in many publications. Check out his
portfolio and you’ll see magical work including superb motion blur examples. His Texas collection is one of my favorites.
