August 2010
Topic – Rivers
DARREN WHITE
I would like to introduce you to Darren White, one of the finest nature photographers in the Pacific Northwest. I originally became aware of Darren through Flickr. Since I was going to spend the summer in Oregon, I used Flickr to familiarize myself with the photographic possibilities of the area.
I soon became hooked on his photography and his talent. And I promise that you will too when you check him out.
Darren is our judge for August and the category is “rivers”. I know we don’t have access to the beautiful rivers that abound in the Pacific Northwest, but by going to Darren’s sites, you can see how a master does it and learn from him.
Darren is also now leading personalized workshops. If I ever go back, you can be sure that I will be taking one with him.
We are very lucky that Darren is taking time out of his busy schedule to judge our competition for us so I hope we put our best work forward.
